The Australian edition of Shape magazine was launched last night in Sydney. The magazine attracted a smattering of celebrities and VIP guests. The glossy women’s health and fitness title is on sale and hopes to reach a circulation of 50,000 in the first year.
14.08.09 Men's Fitness audits 96,000 readership. In the Roy Morgan readership figures released in August of 2009, Men's Fitness audited an impressive 96,000 readers per issue. The ABC audit of circulation, realeased around the same time, came in at 26,000 paid copies per issue. This was an impressive result considering the magazine has only been in circulation of a year and had only published seven issues—it started six times a year then moved to eight. Publisher Ian Brooks said, “We are very happy with the result. It shows that the health and fitness market is strong and growing.
